Here is the catalog of TA in the middle of 1970.
I guess that it was issued around 1975 because pedal was introduced in the catalog.
TA was a maker which has been familiar to Japanese cyclists from early times.
Especially five-pin crank and six-arm chain ring have been used by many cyclists until now.
Moreover there must have been a number of cyclists who had used bottle, front bag, and shoe plate.
Cyclist who belongs to my generation used to begin remodeling their mass-production randonneur bicycle after their early period.
They usually preferred Mafac Criterium, Simplex or Huret derailleur, TA chain ring.
Back in those days, though minimum size of domestic chain ring was 32T, TA had supplied 26T ring to the market.
It was very useful when we enjoy New Cycling magazine version hill climb in mountain pass.
I myself liked Sugino Pro-dynamic or Stronglight 49D more than TA crank.
Therefore I used to prefer the combination of TA rings (46*28) and 49D cranks.
Later, most of French parts makers had run down a slope year after year.
But TA has been useful product along with Stronglight until now.
TA has produced chain wheel, the chain ring which can use for other maker's standard, and the accessory such as a bottle.
Four in five of my own bicycles are equipped with the combination of Campagnolo or Shimano cranks and present TA ring.
If I adhere to the perfect performance, it would be better to use same maker's ring with a crank.
However, I love TA because there were various sprockets in the line-up of TA and finish work is beautiful.
You can see the present products of TA from the TA official website.
