Here is the general catalog of FET Kyokuto in 1985. FET Kyokuto was originally an import company of Automobile. Around mid 80s, Kyokuto had entered the bicycle market, began to sell several kinds of road-racing bicycle such as DE-ROSA, Eddy Merckx, CINELLI. The company had sold top brand parts and cycling wear such as Campagnolo, CINELLI, Regina, Castelli, too.

Since then, FET Kyokuto had expanded the products range further. In 2002, the company had withdrawn from the bicycle market in 2002.

A road racing scene in Europe was printed on the front cover. There were the addresses of Tokyo head office and the ten business offices in the back cover.
The catalog was "Vol.3"; therefore I suppose that the company must have entered the bicycle market around 1983.

No helmet, nor sunglasses, nor clip-less pedal. It was a racing scene in the good old days.
I guess that it was the scene of Giro de Italia, because there was an athlete who wore the Maglia-Rosa.

At first, DE ROSA Professional appeared. The price was 450,000 yen. The frame was composed of Columbus SLX. The bicycle was equipped with the typical high grade parts of Italian road-racing bicycle such as Campagnolo Super-Record, Regina chain and freewheel; Cinelli handlebar and stem; Selle-Italla turbo, and VIttoria tire.

Eddy Merckx Professional and other two models; and Chinelli Super-corsa were introduced in this page. The handlebar of Eddy Merckx was 3ttt.
Though both models were equipped with Campagnolo Super-record set, the prices were very different; Eddy Merckx was 398,000 yen, Cinelli was 530,000 yen.

This was FET Kyokuto original brand Serena. I don't know where this frame was made. The bicycle was equipped with Campagnolo Victory set, Cinelli handlebar and stem; and Sam Marco Concor. The price was 178,000 yen.

These were the original products of De Rosa, Eddy Merckx, Serena, FET Kyokuto. As for De Rosa, we could buy "stem, seat post, chain ring" which had a stamp of De Rosa as a single item.

At first, bicycle wear of Castelli was introduced through three pages. The jersey of Professional team of those days, each winner's jersey at the Giro de Italia, and jersey of National team appeared on the pages.

Pubbliconf was a maker of racer cap and satchel (sacoche).

These were shoes of Detto Pietro. Detto Pietro has been continuing the business. However, the shop already quitted producing shoes. Instead of that, Detto Pietro has sold original brand bicycle.

The parts of Campagnolo were introduced in detail through six pages.
There were five group-parts such as C-Record, Super-Record, Nuovo-Record, Victory, and Triomphe. Moreover, freewheel, rim, specialized tools, and other small parts were introduced in this pages.

These were tires and rims of Vittoria. All of the tires are tubular. You can see the models which are sold even now.

Handlebars, stems, and saddles of Cinelli were introduced in this page. Handlebar, stem, and saddle for track-racing bicycle were authorized by NJS (Nihon Jitensha Shinkokai/ Japan Keirin Association).

As for Regina, seven-speed freewheel which could be used for 126 mm width hub was prepared as well as Suntour.

Here was an explanation about Columbus frame tubes. SLX was famous tube in the world, had been used by a number of famous bicycle brands.

These were bags and inflators of West German brand; sunglasses and helmet of French or Italian brand. A large number of SKS inflators were used in Japan. Even now, inflator and plastic mudguard of SKS are famous.

Thule is a roof carrier maker. There must be a number of cyclists who use this carrier even now. And it's easy to find it at big car shop. I had used the model No. 9 in past.
