The Catalog of Reminiscence

The Invitation for Cycling by Mr.Gami

Part 09: Everest in 1974

I add one more catalog of Everest following the catalog of 1977. I could recognize it had been issued in 1974 because of a contribution on the bulletin board. The catalog was very different to the catalog of other company because of its luxury.

The catalog was offered by Mr. Masayuki.

The enlarged photograph of the highest grade Road-racing model was printed on the front cover.

Here is a catchphrase "now, I invite you to this honorable world of Everest".

These are track-racer and road-racer of the model Record.
Those were equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo-record group-set, because those were the highest grade models.

These are track-racer and road-racer of the model Professional. The equipments such as Mafac racer brake, "the Campagnolo large hub with round holes and quick release lever", slide type front derailleur of Campagnolo Gran-sport, are showing the times.

These are track-racer and road-racer of the model Criterium. I could recognize Yoshigai 500 side-pull brake, Sugino Pro-dynamic chain-wheel, Suntour V rear derailleur, and Compe V front derailleur. The stem must have been Nitto Dynamic. The specification was similar to Katakura Silk R2 of those days.

This is the explanation about frame materials and frame works of the model Record.

This is the specification of the model Professional.

These are the enlarged photographs around the head lugs of Record track-racing model and Record road-racing model.
The lug and fork crown were Agratti. The head parts were Campagnolo Record-Pista and Record-Road of course.
