The Maple cycling road in Oita

home

The maple cycling road is located between Yamakuni machi and Nakatsu city. It is one of the most beautiful cycling roads in Japan and a number of cyclists had run this road. The total length is 36 km. It would take you about 3 hour 40 minutes.

We arrived at JR Nakatsu station and opened the Rinko bags which contained our bicycles. In Japan, when you want to bring a bicycle in a train, you have to pack it in a bag.

The photo was taken at Yabakei Bridge which was 14.7 km away from Nakatsu station.

This bakery shop stood near the bridge. When I ride a bicycle in this neighborhood, I always buy some bread.

Unfortunately, the bridge was broken because of flood which hit this area 2 months ago. Therefore we couldn't pass the bridge.

The photos were taken around Rakan Temple Bridge. This bridge was also broken by the flood.

The small restaurant stood near Cloud shrine. We ordered Okonomiyaki (pizza) and Yakisoba (noodle).

We went to Hita city across Mt. Miou. The photo was taken at Mikuma River.

Hita city is called "water province" because of abundant pure water flow in the city.
