I become the wind

At the time I was astride the saddle, it had trembled at moment . I felt that it had a life.

It suddenly began running when I kicked the pedal softly as if I checked the reaction of an untrained pony.
There was no mechanical feeling. My energy united with the bicycle, and streamed in the air. The scene flowed quietly as if I had a time trip.

If I can run like a wind, I often thought in my boyhood.
Impossible, my friend said.
Now I become the wind and fly in the air.

サドルに跨ると、車体が一瞬ぶるっと震えた。どこか生命感を思わせる自転車だった。

まだ調教されていない若馬の反応を見るように、そっとペダルを踏む。 と、それは歓喜したようにぐんぐんと加速しはじめた。
そこに機械的な駆動感はなく、自身の生態エネルギーが自転車と融合し大気に奔流する。 不思議なほどの静けさのなか、時間を旅するように光景がすうっと流れていく。

風のように大地を駆け抜けることができたら・・・子供の頃よくそう考えた。
そんなの無理に決まっている・・・数年後、友人と笑った。
そうして今、風になって飛んだ。
