จักรยาน Bennyx Expert : รหัส SXTE-530, SXTE-560 ขนาดเฟรม 53 เซนติเมตร (น้ำหนัก12.6 กิโลกรัม) ขนาดเฟรม 56 เซนติเมตร (น้ำหนัก12.9 กิโลกรัม) ราคาขาย (ในปี1980) 78,000 เยน

Yamaguchi bicycle was established by Mr. Shigehiko Yamaguchi in 1914. After the World War II, the company moved the head office to Tokyo and built a factory at Kawaguchi city Saitama. The company had produced motorcycle other than bicycle around 1953 and went bankrupt in 1963.

After Marubeni injected capital to Yamaguchi bicycle, the company had changed the name to "Marubeni-Yamaguchi". Then the company began to produce Benny bicycle which was popular in Japan.
In 1982, Marubeni pulled up capital from the company, and Sekine cycle merged the company. Later, Sekine cycle was also merged by Sanwa bicycle.


ย้อนกลับไปในปี ค.ศ.1914 หลังสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 คุณ Shigehiko Yamaguchi ได้ก่อตั้งบริษัท Yamakushi Bicycle ขึ้น บริษัทตั้งอยู่ที่เมืองโตเกียว และมีโรงงานผลิต ที่เมือง Kawaguchi จังหวัด Saitama บริษัท Yamakushi Bicycle ผลิตจักรยาน และเพ่ิมการผลิตจักรยานยนต์ขึ้นในปี ค.ศ. 1953 แต่ทว่า บริษัทได้ปิดตัวลง เนื่องจากประสบปัญหาทางการเงิน ในปี ค.ศ. 1963 หลังจากนั้น คุณ Marubeni ได้เข้ามาสืบทอดกิจการของบริษัท Yamakushi Bicycle จึงเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น "Marubeni-Yamaguchi" นับเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นในการผลิตจักรยาน ภายใต้ชื่อ "Benny" ซึ่งได้รับความนิยมอย่างมากในเวลานั้น ต่อมาในปี ค.ศ. 1982 บริษัท Benny ได้ควบรวมกิจการกับ บริษัท Sekine cycle แต่ก็ได้ควบรวมกับบริษัท Sanwa ในเวลาต่อมาเช่นกัน

Marubeni-Yamaguchi had produced first Rinko bicycle as mass-production maker. Bennyx was designed by Mr. Shigehide Dazai who was one of the pioneers of Japanese sports bicycle. Mr. Dazai was also the owner of Patterson's house. The factory of Bennyx was located at Koga city Ibaragi in those days.

The sword was a trade mark of Patterson's house.

The photo of the right was the shop Patterson's house. Mr. Dazai wrote "Plan and Design by Patterson's House, " under the leaflet of Bennyx S-X101A.


บริษัท "Marubeni-Yamaguchi" ตั้งอยู่ที่ Koga city Ibaragi ได้ผลิตจักรยานรุ่นแรก ในแบบอุตสาหกรรม ใช้ชื่อว่า "Rinko" ออกแบบโดย คุณ Shigehide Dazai หนึ่งในผู้บุกเบิก ของวงการจักรยานในขณะนั้น ซึ่งคุณ Dazai คือผู้สร้างจักรยานแบรนด์ "Patterson's house" นั่นเอง

The traits of Bennyx were Super-welding method and professional works of frame. Super-welding method was famous along with Eutectic-welding method of Katakura Silk. It was known as beautiful, strong welding. Super-welding method was used for lug-less frame so that builder could choose frame angle freely.

Double crow stay which was one of the professional frame works was showing that the Bennyx frame was different from other mass-production bicycle.


คุณลักษณะพิเศษของ Bennyx คือ เฟรมจักรยานที่สร้างโดยช่างมืออาชีพ ที่ใช้เทคนิคพิเศษในการเชื่อมท่อส่วนต่างๆ เข้าด้วยกัน เทคนิคนี้คล้ายกับเฟรม Eutectic-welding ของ Katakura Silk เป็นเฟรมแบบ Lug-Less ที่ขึ้นชื่อเรื่อง ความงดงาม แข็งแรง และไม่มี Lug ทำให้ผู้สร้างเฟรม สามารถปรับองศาเฟรมได้ตามขนาดที่ต้องการ
"Double crow stay" คือลักษณะที่บอกถึงความเป็นเฟรมจักรยานคุณภาพสูง ที่มืออาชีพเลือกใช้ ซึ่งแตกต่างกับจักรยานในแบบ Mess-Production

Bennyx was also known as a professional randonneur bicycle which was equipped with high quality parts.

This head set was produced for Rinko trip. When you pull the front fork out of head tube, bearing balls were never scattered.


Bennyx เป็นที่รู้จักในฐานะที่เป็นหนึ่งในจักรยาน Randonneur ชั้นดี ที่เลือกใช้แต่อะไหล่ชิ้นส่วนคุณภาพสูง
"ถ้วยคอ" สร้างขึ้นสำหรับ "Rinko Trip" ในภาพ จะเห็นได้ว่า ตลับลูกปืนยังคงอยู่ในสภาพดี

As for the Bennyx, frame size 560 was prepared other than size 530. It was also the trait of Bennyx. Back in those days, frame size 530 was standard because Japanese people were still short. Therefore the size 560 was very thankful frame to tall people.


สำหรับ Bennyx ยังได้ผลิตเฟรมขนาด 56 เซนติเมตรด้วย สำหรับผู้ที่มีส่วนสูงมากกว่าขนาดปรกติ ซึ่งในเวลานั้นความสูงเฉลี่ยของชาวญี่ปุ่น จะเหมาะกับเฟรมขนาด 53 เซนติเมตรโดยประมาณ

The factory of Bennyx still continues to make professional bicycle frame at Koga city Ibaragi prefecture. The brand name is PIE. You can order a custom frame to the factory even now.
